Two volunteers are needed to complete a group of volunteers who monthly staple Foundation Newsletters to paystubs for the Health Sciences Centre. The dates are: Feb 3 Mar 3 No specific skills or experience required - just a willingness to help out! Oreintation will be provided the morning of the two dates (Feb 3 & Mar 3). This great group of volunteers is extremely welcoming and offers an opportunity to help the Foundation tell the Health Sciences Centre about exciting upcoming opportunities.

Sunshine Foundation: Dreams for Kids is a National orgainzation that fulfills dreams for children with severe physical disabilities or life threatening illnesses. We are looking for volunteers to join our local chapter with the volunteer opportunities ranging from organizing and planning fundraising events, community relations, volunteer recruitment, helping with special events,delivering dreams to children and raising awareness in the community. We require volunteers to complete a police record check and provide 2 references.

Description: Volunteers are matched with a student or a small group of students. Under the direction of the program coordinator(s), mentors will: 1) Assist students with reading & writing 2) Help create a fun and energetic learning atmosphere 3) Over-see group learning activities 4) Help students to obtain better learning habits 5) Provide direction and tutoring for their English 6) Answer questions and provide information about Canadian culture 7) Volunteers must be able to commit to 2 hours, one day a week (Monday thru Thursday), for 14 consecutive weeks between 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm.
