Description:
To provide non-judgemental telephone based listening to all callers. The goal is to support callers in finding their own soluntions to problems and make appropriate referrals to community agencies, as required.
Approximately 30 hours of training provided by staff and experienced volunteers. It includes developing knowledge of active listening, crisis intervention, suicide assessment and prevention and community resources.
Being a 24/7 hour operation, a broad range of volunteer shifts and hours are available.
