Description: Volunteers are matched with a student or a small group of students. Under the direction of the program coordinator(s), mentors will:
1) Assist students with reading & writing
2) Help create a fun and energetic learning atmosphere
3) Over-see group learning activities
4) Help students to obtain better learning habits
5) Provide direction and tutoring for their English
6) Answer questions and provide information about Canadian culture
7) Volunteers must be able to commit to 2 hours, one day a week (Monday thru Thursday), for 14 consecutive weeks between 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm.

- Strong English language skills in reading, writing and speaking
- Ability to speak Mandarin or Cantonese an asset
- Interest in planning and executing programs and activities for children
