General Help volunteers are people willing to take on any general task at a build or renovation project. We welcome volunteers of all skill levels to our builds and will accommodate individuals through this program as needed, for one full day of volunteering (8 a.m. - 5 p.m.). There is no guarantee as we have limited spots available on builds and dates available will be assigned at Habitat's discretion as your schedule permits.
All build volunteers must be over the age of 18 or accompanied by a parent or guardian if between 16 - 18 years. Volunteers must commit to volunteering the whole day.
Individuals must be able to speak and understand English, and be willing to take on all tasks or general labour assigned depending on their skill level and comfort. Volunteers should be able to comfortably lift 20 lbs.
There will be a safety orientation session on site each morning before we begin. All build volunteers will be required to sign our Volunteer Release, Waiver of Liability and Indemnity Agreement on their first assigned shift.
